I'm a retired teacher and have kept contact with current teachers at the High School where I worked. The art teacher and faculty sponsor of the green team want to decorate a parachute to encourage kids to make their voices heard on the dangers of climate change. I am co-leader of the Vancouver chapter of Citizens' Climate Lobby, and we have a goal of engaging young people in climate activism. I believe that the parachute project is a great way to attract youth to the cause. We appreciate the efforts of the Mother Earth Project and are eager to participate.
