Hi, my name is Maia Ingoe, and I'm one of the leaders of a youth environment group based in Gisborne, New Zealand, called Tairawhiti Youth Environment. Our group is part of New Zealand School Strike For Climate and we do other things within our community to campaign for climate justice and environmental protection. At the moment, our focuses are on our petition and campaign to our local body council urging them to declare a climate emergency and planning for our September 27th march down our main street in town and a sit-in outside our council chambers. This is the biggest SS4C event we have planned yet, and we would love to have one of your parachutes for use on this day! Our group has no funds for these events, and we organise them with our own time, energy, and passion for the environment.
